E-DETECT TB at AIDS 2018

KNCV’s Gerard de Vries is attending AIDS 2018 in Amsterdam to represent the E-DETECT TB project.

Gerard started the week with the TB 2018 pre-conference where he displayed our project poster.  If you missed him there, you can also catch Gerard when he participates in the following activities:

Monday, 23rd July – 15:55-16:45, Hall 10
Round table discussion: What are the challenges for preventing HIV and co-infections among PWID, what have we learnt from HA‑REACT (harm reduction for people who object drugs in Europe: findings from European joint action) and other EU actions, and how can we respond to these challenges? What does integration of services for PWID mean?

Wednesday, 25th July – 18:30-20:30, Forum
Presentation during Session 1: Integrated testing approaches – lessons learned and transferability across diseases and borders (as part of the INTEGRATE symposium looking at HIV and co-infections in at-risk populations: addressing cross-border treatment needs and ensuring earlier diagnosis of migrants, homeless, prisoners and other vulnerable populations with co-infections).

Wednesday, 25th July – 13:00-15:30, Stand 204-3
Exhibition of E-DETECT TB materials

Several other EU health programme-funded projects are also taking part in the conference and you can find out more about the plans here.
